Pinterest Inspired Layout - Pretty Little Studio

Good morning friends! Today I'm sharing the Pretty Little Studio layout I created with this week’s Pinterest inspiration photo. I was waiting to use the new collection from Pretty Little Studio’s designer Claudia van Rooijen “With All My Heart” and this Pinterest photo was so perfect! The greenish color is maybe not exactly the same as the green in the With All My Heart collection, but it’s close enough. Here’s the layout I created:

And this is the Pinterest we used:

I tried to copy the stacked macarons in the Pinterest photos by stacking my journaling cards and photo on the right side of my page. Love the effect this gives! The word “today” was cut with my Silhouette. The arrow and flower die-cuts are part of the With All My Heart collection. Aren’t they fab?!

I also adore all kinds of flair buttons so I definitely wanted to include at least one! The letter stickers are from another collection: Oakley Avenue. I love that they match this collection as well.

And of all the journaling cards in this collection I think that this one is my favorite:

The camera comes from a “cut-apart” sheet full of cameras (part of the 8×8 paper pack). So awesome!!

For the finishing touch I used my sewing machine, I added a few drops of glimmer mist and I stamped the date (twice) and I was done!

Here’s a list of all the Pretty Little Studio products I used:

  • With All My Heart collection: Patterned Paper: 8×8 Paper Pack, Precious, Falling For You, Always – Gray; Flair: Love Always; Die-cuts: Floral Bouquet, Forever; Journaling: Snapshot 3×4; Mini Word: Sweetheart.
  • You & Me collection: Stickers: Valentine Words.
  • Oakley Avenue: Stickers: Mini ABC – Breezy.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!

Have a great day!

Set of Tealightful Spring Cards - Pebbles

Hi everyone! Today I'm sharing a couple of cards I created for this week's “outdoor” theme on Pebbles' blog. I used the Tealightful collection to create these darling Spring cards, which are perfect for so many occasions.

I adore the little illustrations/cards from the Tea Party sheet, and decided to cut them apart and for my cards. With a bit of patterned paper, some string, and enamel dots, the cards were ready in no time at all! I gathered everything I thought I would need, including a piece of white American Crafts cardstock measuring 12″x 4.5″ for the base of my 6″x 4.5″ card:

First, I matted the little cards I cut from the Tea Party sheet onto a piece of white cardstock. Then, I wound a piece of string around twice before matting on two different patterned papers. After adhering the four layers of paper on the white cardstock base, I quickly used my sewing machine to add a stitched line around inside Tea Party card. Finally, I adhered the project on to the cardstock base, doodled a black line all around, and added three enamel dots. These instructions apply to all three cards.

How I adore the Tealightful collection! The outdoor papers, die-cuts, images, and stickers, along with the tea related papers and die-cuts, are super cute. This collection is definitely one of my very favorite Pebbles collections and is incredibly versatile to use in crafting.

Here’s the list of supplies I used:
Tealightful Tea Party (733526)
Tealightful Meadow (733532)
Tealightful Floral Patchwork (733535)
Tealightful Fresh Picked (733529)
Fun In The Sun Enamel Dots (732834)
American Crafts Textured Cardstock Pack 12″ x 12″ 60/Pkg, Neutrals (71252)
American Crafts Cutup Scissors 7″ (64201)

This is it! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Wishing you a wonderful day!

Creative Scrappers Sketch #305 & The Cut Shoppe Team Up

Hey friends!! Happy Saturday to y'all!! A couple of us at The Cut Shoppe Design Team played along with sketch #305 from Creative Scrappers. I used Doodlebug's Cream & Sugar collection to create this Spring/Easter layout:

How I adore this collection!!

As you can see, instead of the circles I used the TCS "Hip Hop" cut file to cut 3 different sized (green) Easter Bunnies. Love them!!

Here are a couple close-ups:

Love the tea cups, especially the "Tea for Two Doodle-Pops":

Or how about the Mini Donuts Doodle-Pops?!

The cute die-cuts are from the Odds & Ends Cream & Sugar :

And these are the cut files from The Cut Shoppe I used:

You Are Special - Step-by-Step Tutorial My Creative Scrapbook April Main Kit

Hello everyone! Yesterday I shared this layout (created with MCS' beautiful April Main Kit) on the blog of My Creative Scrapbook and I thought I'd share it here too. I adore this month's kit and had so much fun playing with it. As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to use it to scrap the photo where my daughter signs her High School Diploma. It was such a very important moment and so I saved the photo for the right papers. I just wanted the layout to be perfect! I'm really happy with the result and can't wait to hear what you think!

I loved creating this page and thought I'd share a step-by-step to show you how I made it.

I started with a sheet of white AC cardstock and 4 colors ink (all from my own stash). I spread lots ink drops over my cardstock in a diagonal line and set the paper aside to let the ink dry:

While the ink was drying I selected the Pink Paislee, Oh My Heart #6 paper and fussy cut many of the beautiful flowers as well as a couple of leaves:

As soon as the ink had dried I arranged the flowers on top of it, leaving a spot for my photo:

Next came the awesome Heidi Swapp stamps which are also included in the kit:

I stamped mainly on the left and right side of the flowers, but also on top of some. The stamps are of a beautiful quality, are super easy to use and stamp very "even". To achieve the lighter "gray" stamped images I first stamped on a piece of scrap paper before stamping on my layout.

Next I selected the "Dear Lizzy Lovely Phrases" chipboard pieces I wanted to use. I chose all the little hearts and the word "love". I always remove the adhesive backing before using chipboard stickers as I want to place them here and there on my page just to see how they look:

After I was sure about where I wanted the chipboard pieces I adhered them using some liquid glue.

Next I had adhered the photo of my daughter in the centre of my layout and added some random machine stitching:

I really love how the layout turned out! Here are two more close-ups:

This is it! Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Wishing you a wonderful day!

Did you know that My Creative Scrapbook has their own sketch challenge blog? It's called My Creative Sketches and has a new sketch challenge every month on the 16th. For this month's sketch I used the My Creative Scrapbook April Main Kit to create this page:

I adore the Oh My Heart collection from Paige Evans (Pink Paislee) that features in this kit and happily use it for photos of both my daughter and my sons. The chipboard piece with Don't Grow Up It's A Trap is from Dear Lizzy and is just perfect for photos of my youngest (who grows up much too fast!!!). This is the sketch we're using:

And of course a few close-ups:

I love the little fox in this collection!!

New Sketch at Stuck?! Sketches

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend! It's because of Easter that I'm posting this post a bit late ... halfway through the month we always have a new sketch at Stuck?! Sketches and this month I created this layout with it:

The photo is of my youngest's birthday party last Summer and the papers etc. I'm using are from Crate Paper's Cool Kid collection.

Here's the new sketch:

And a few close-ups. I love playing with lots of embellishments and patterned papers on my layouts and this one is no exception. Here's one of the clusters I created using some of Crate's chipboard and die-cuts as well as one of the clear acetate words of Heidi Swapp.

Here's another cluster with lots of die-cuts (both cardstock and acetate). You can also see that I used little strips of patterned paper around the edge of my page.

And the third cluster. Love the die-cuts and colors in this collection!

We have two amazing and super supportive sponsors this month over at Stuck?! Sketches! So you definitely want to play along for your chance to win!

These are the sponsors:

Scrapmatts who are offering two large pieces of chipboard to one lucky participant

and

Flutterby Designs who are offering a lovely themed prize pack

If you decide to play along then please link up your layouts over in the sidebar on the Stuck?! Sketches blog by April 29th at midnight EST to be in the running for one of the prizes! All prizes will be drawn randomly using Random.org to pick a number.

This is it for today! Thank you so much for stopping by and hope to see you soon!
Hugs,
Monique

Another My Creative Scrapbook Layout

Hi everyone! For this month I created five layouts with the April Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook and today I thought I would share the second.

For this layout I used the #12 sheet from Paige Evans' Oh My Heart collection and just cut it at random. The photos of my youngest were taken in the "Brussels Comic Strip Center" so the die-cut with the "books and more books" came in quite handy!

And a few close-ups:

If you want to see all the projects created with this kit and the three other kits from My Creative Scrapbook then please hop over to the DT gallery at the MCS site!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and wishing you a wonderful Saturday! Happy crafting!
